Mission Statement
The desire of this Academy is to educate and prepare every individual with the uttermost skills in the performing arts and deliver the resources for students to learn and perform in a professional, yet fun and healthy environment. The objective for each student is to be taught to better care for their body, develop spatial awareness, strength, flexibility, and to implement cognitive and coordination skills into everyday use.

Self Confidence – Dance is an incredible way to unlock the riches of your child’s inner beauty. Having the ability to walk into a room, address an adult or group of people is a lesson that will be carried on through life. Being involved in a dance class teaches these young people about bettering themselves, thus building self-confidence.
Discipline – Here at Heather Wayne’s Dance Academy, our classes are built around the foundation of dance…discipline. During class, these children are learning what it means to be a team player, to follow directions, to listen. The majority of these kids tend to do better in school having an exter curricular activity that pushes their limits to learn and succeed.
Maturity Development – It’s amazing to watch and be a part of the development of a young child’s life. Some of these kids at this academy has been with us since elementary school and are now getting ready to graduate high school. At a very young age, kids are everyday exposed to elements that may not benefit their social maturity. At this school, we pride ourselves on surrounding these kids with positive role models.
Physical Development – Dance allows kids a different outlet for physical activity. So many kids now days come straight home and play video games or text on cell phones all day. Dance provides an avenue to keep physically fit while at the same time furthering a child’s balance, flexibility, strength and coordination.
Please come by and visit our state of the art facility located less than a mile from your home. Our studio houses 4 large studios, one of which is a working theatre. The Spotlight Black Box Theatre is an invaluable part of our Academy. This theatre offers children an amazing opportunity to perform inside a unique setting of live theatre. Furthermore, it’s also a popular spot for private functions or seminars. We also offer the Broadway Boutique, an on-site store needed to round out that Broadway experience. The wireless Student Center provides dancers with a place to go and do home work in-between classes. The 50’s Diner is the Social Headquarters of Heather Wayne’s Dance Academy for parents and students alike. It’s also a wonderful place for birthday parties.
